UK Network Infrastructure
Fully redundant BGP network consisting of two separate hardware vendors which provides redundancy not only in the network level, but also on the hardware level.
Two separate 10Gigabit networks based in Milton Keynes and Maidenhead, from both Extreme Networks and Foundry Networks at all locations. On top of this layer 2 network there are two independent IP Transit networks which run from multiple Cisco Systems routers at multiple London facilities, offering true redundancy to each customer.
Connecting with multiple Tier 1 providers, as well the London Internet Exchange (LINX), they are the only provider able to offer IP services diverse of London, to any of the datacentre customers.
USA Network Infrastructure - Dallas
Our Dallas based server is located inside the recognised Infomart telecom hotel, a private, Tier III, N+1 facility near downtown Dallas. Infomart is also home to data centers belonging to MCI, Level 3, Equinix, Verio, Switch & Data, Verizon, Telefonica and Via West. It sits on three redundant TXU electrical grids, delivering diverse power to each quadrant of the building, with five on-site 100-ton water chillers meeting N+1 cooling requirements.
USA Network Infrastructure - Washington DC
Our Washington D.C server is located in a private N+1 data center facility just 7 miles from Dulles airport in Chantilly, Virginia. The facility is also home to datacentres belonging to AT&T and Verizon Business, and receives power from two redundant Dominion Virginia Power grids. It includes three on-site, 600-ton cooling towers, fully meeting N+1 cooling requirements.
The network seamlessly integrates three distinct and redundant network architectures; Public, Private, and Datacentre to Datacentre into the industry’s first Network-Within-a-Network topology for maximum accessibility, security, and control. The network is built from best-in-class networking infrastructure, hardware, and software with exceptional bandwidth and connectivity for the highest speed and reliability.
USA Network Infrastructure - Tampa
We currently have two servers based in Tampa, Florida, who's connectivity is comprised of multiple redundant Tier 1 back-bone providers. Through partnerships with Global Crossing and Cogent they currently have 23 Gbps bandwidth capacity. Simply put, they have an enormous connection directly to the internet and the ability to serve any internet need.
n+1 Diesel Generators, UPS, Battery Backup and DC power to provide conditioned power to the IP floor. Redundant Cisco and Foundry routers utilize BGP4 protocol to provide redundant service through multiple providers.
USA Network Infrastructure - Portland
Located in Portland, Oregon, our US4 server is homed within the largest telco hotel on the west coast with such companies as Google, Yahoo, and Clear. Bandwidth output is nearly unlimited with dozens of tier 1-2 fiber providers already within the hotel. The data center is fully automated with the highest level of infrastructure, security and backup services.
The network is powered behind 31Gbps of pure Tier-1 bandwidth giving way to the lowest latency and jitter around the globe. Located within The Pittock Block, the building offers over 16 different fiber optic carriers including; AT&T, Sprirt, MCI, CogentCo, SilverStar Telcom & Stephouse Networks.
German Network Infrastructure
Servers at the Frankfurt datacentre are connected directly to the worldwide 110 GBit high-speed backbone of PlusServer AG, which has direct connections to the most important providers and the largest European IX locations, for example the DE-CIX in Frankfurt, the AMSIX in Amsterdam and the LINX in London. The complete backbone is laid out multiply redundant in ring topology, so that even in case of a 60% technical breakdown the servers will still be available. Because the datacentre are positive of their connection quality, they can guarantee a service availability of at least 99.9% as a monthly average.
Access to the Internet platform is made using multiple gigabit connections to other IP networks, exchange points and transit carriers. Thanks BGP4 protocol to ensure an efficient routing of IP traffic dynamics and reactions to any change in the Net. IDC Datacentres have direct peering with Catnix, Espanix, Interxion and Banesto.
Acens has its own national backbone network with ring topology in order to ensure maximum availability for each node. This network connects the points of presence (PoP), Data Centres and Peering Centres (exchange of IP traffic). Similarly, the design of each PoP has made all the leading switching and routing equipment to reach a fault-tolerant architecture, so there is no single point of failure.
The data provider has chosen the tier-1 network carriers carefully to complement each other and provide sufficient performance in case of problems. The datacentre is connected to "the big three" - these are the three biggest internet exchanges in the world: AMS-IX in Amsterdam, DE-CIX in Frankfurt and LINX in London. Other internet exchanges across Europe have been carefully chosen to ensure the best possible network connectivity. This results in the highest bandwidth and lowest latency.
The datacentre upholds a policy of always having more than double internet capacity than is used by our customers which is currently around 240Gbit/s. Thus we have now a total external network capacity of over 500Gbit/s and our internal network capacity exceeds 1 Terabit/s.
